Contact with Family and Friends

Client’s family, relatives and friends are encouraged to visit regularly and maintain contact by letter or telephone when visiting is not possible. In these cases staff will offer to assist Clients to respond where help maybe needed.

Visitors will be made welcome at all reasonable times. For the Health & safety of the Service users and staff and due to Fire Regulations visitors are asked to sign in and out of the Home.

It would be appreciated if visitors could avoid meal times .

The Client has the right to refuse to see any visitor and this right is respected and upheld by the person in charge, who will if necessary inform the visitor of the Clients wishes.

The smaller lounge enables privacy on visits or Service users may use their bedroom or the garden for their visitors.

For security reasons, if family or friends take a Client out, the home requests that they be returned at a reasonable time.
